How to download and install this software

This download can be used to create 2 new Aviator installation diskettes for Version 3.04 of the Aviator software for Windows 95/98 systems.

It is important to read these instructions before starting the download. You may also want to print them as a reference.

  
Step 1. When you click the download (below) you will download a file, aviator304.exe, to a location on your hard drive. 
  
Step 2. When the download is complete, locate the aviator304.exe file on your hard drive and double-click on it. You will create a directory C:\aviator304. 
  
Step 3. Open the directory C:\aviator304 where two files have been extracted, disk1_304.exe and disk2_304.exe. Double-click on disk1_304.exe. You will create a folder C:\disk1_304, with seventeen files. 
  
Step 4. Still in your C:\aviator304 directory, double-click on disk2_304.exe. You will create a folder C:\disk2_304, with one file. 
  
Step 5. Take two new floppy disks, or delete ALL the files from your original Aviator installation disks, and copy your new files to these diskettes for installation. 
  
Step 6. Uninstall the current Aviator software on every computer in your network. Go to Start > Programs > Aviator > Aviator Uninstall and follow the instructions. Restart each computer before proceeding with the new installation. 
  
Step 7. Install this Version 3.04 software by inserting the new Aviator installation disk 1 in your drive and going to Start > Run, type a:\setup.exe (or b:\setup.exe if your floppy drive is ‘b’), click OK then follow the on-screen instructions. Repeat on every computer in your network. 
  
Step 8. When the new installation is complete, you can delete the file you downloaded, aviator304.exe and all extracted files in the C:\disk1_304 and C:\disk2_304 directories. They are no longer needed for your Aviator Wireless Network.
